Yes, after the New York Times 3 days ago with Arles ( Modern Art) , now CNN Travel is presenting Cassis as one of the best beaches of the World. Wahoo !
Gordes and the Luberon are not on the Mediterranean but we are just close. In fact when guests want to go to swim somewhere, we recommend successfully two places : Cassis which is close – It is one of our ONE-DAY tours and Cavalaire-sur-Mer which is near St Tropez ( too crowded) on the way from or to Nice and the Riviera.
We love Cassis. The expedition can be one days on its own or combined with A short visit in Aix-en -Provence.
Cassis a quintessential representation of Provence with everything in the same place : The village, the sea and mountains.
To do’s : Plan if you want to walk or make the boat tour to the Calanques. Don’t be over ambitious. Don’t forget your swimsuit ! and or good shoes (it is rocky and quite tough in the end)

We also recommend to end your day by enjoying the view ( and maybe the sunset) from Cap Canaille on the road to la Ciotat. This road to la Ciotat is unique. You will re-enter the highway over there.
